What Would You Like Your Readers To Get From Your Book? On top of the knowledge that food is not out enemy but something we should have a healthy and enjoyable relationship with, and that we should NEVER force ourselves on unhealthy and impractical restrictive diet plans, I want my readers to be able to find the one line of inspiration or wisdom somewhere within the pages that will habe just the right impact to enable them to 'make the change' forever. We are all on different paths through different journeys, so that line will be different for everyone, but it is in there!

Tell Us A Bit About Yourself... I am a personal trainer, wellness coach, spiritual teacher and entrepreneur (strange mix I know, lol) based within the West Midlands, UK, where I live with my two gorgeous daughters. Having recently turning 29 and 12 months I realised I've been in my career now for an astonishing (and somewhat scary) 12 years. Within this time I have constantly strived to increase my knowledge in this and other fields in order to always give my clients an unbeatable service with unbeatable results! This in hand, I am now able to offer my clients; personal training, nutrition advice, massage, hypnosis, physical rehabilitation (specialising in wheelchair fitness, stroke, MS and Cerebral Palsy), life coaching, stress management and spiritual healing and guidance.

On top of keeping a number of personal clients and running my businesses, I also spend time offering workshops and training in subjects such as vibration platform training, weight management, stress management, manifestation and the Law of Attraction, healing and spiritual guidance. In short, I don't find many opportunities of becoming bored!

Outside work, I enjoy spending time around waterfalls and forests, dragging my children around historic castles and doing anything that keeps me connected with my silly and mischievous child within!

What Is Your Book About? In short, my book is about being able to maintain a healthy and happy weight without the need for ridiculous diet plans and unrealistic excercise routines... for good!

Rather than just give yet another 'fad' diet plan for you to follow, I help you explore the reasons why you became overweight in the first place and deal with those, as if the source of the issue is dealt with then the issue in question will no longer present itself. From there, we look at basic nutritional advice and educate ourselves on what food actually is in the first place and how we can once again tune into our bodies and let them tell us what they need and when. Then finally we can look at the basics of excercise and explore the many, many different ways we can do this without spending our entire lives on a boring treadmill facing a wall!

Another important factor of the book is that it goes straight to the point, rather than fluffing around the edges in order to do nothing more than add an extra 100 pages! It is a compact guide you can carry with you if needed, which has been written in such a way that the knowledge can just 'sink in' without the added stress of having to try and remember it! We are all individuals and this book guides you through your very own individual and permanent journey!

Who Is It Aimed At? This book is aimed at anyone and everyone who has ever struggled with their weight and the issues that surround it. Man or woman, young or old, it doesn't matter. Everybody will benefit from the education the book provides in one way or another.

What Inspired You To Write It? Many of my clients over the years have said that U should put my unique and somewhat 'wacky' methos into a book. But in truth it came down to three things; the fact that I cannot carry on as a personal trainer or wellness coach forever, that I wanted my proven methods to reach and help many more people that I could ever work with on a personal level and also how other 'professionals' in the field get it so very wrong, despite the volume of knowledge and education that is available to them.

When Did You First Realise That You Wanted To Write This Book? I've wanted to have a book published for as long as I can remember, but after becoming self-employed as a personal trainer (all those years ago...) and having the freedom to create my own technique it became more apparent that it was the right thing to do.

What Gave You The Push To Get Published? It took a bit of a health scare to push me into finally finishing the book (which isn't exactly the best form of motivation - lol). Apart from that my friends and family have been very supportive and encouraging, especially my best friend Sonia.

Did You Have Any Difficulty In Getting Published? What new writer doesn't? (Haha!). The main problem I faced was the fact that the vast majority of publishing companies only seem to want to publish either established authors or celebrities (of which I am neither!). It became quite hard to send my work out time and time again, only to be faced with "thank you for your manuscript but..." .

What Hurdles Did You Face Whilst Writing & How Did You Overcome Them? The biggest problem I found was self-belief. I was constantly torturing myself with thoughts like "but I'm not a writer" and "who would ever want to read anything I've written?" which is especially bad when part of my job is to teach others self-belief! But again, the support of my friends (Sonia) helped me to overcome this.

How Did It Feel Seeing Your Book In Real Life For The 1st Time? To be honest I went into a form of shock and disbelief! I just could not believe that I had achieved one of my life goals. It was even stranger when I was asked, within the next few minutes, to sign a copy of one being sold - WOW!

Do You Have Any Tips For Our Budding Authors? Just do it and keep going! We all have it within us to write, offer advice or tell a story... Take each knock back or 'no' as just another step on the way to your yes! If you can change just one person's life with something as small as a thought or a smile, then the journey to get there has been a worthwhile one!

What's Next For You? Alongside working hard on my new company, I have two more books in the immediate pipeline; "Make the Change: Stress Management" and another, yet to be titled, about changing your life through the practical application of the Law of Attraction. There are also some guided meditation CDs, affirmation/guidance cards, fitness videos and workshops on the way... Watch this space!
